Future of Work is a FreedomTrain project that moves labor away from extraction and consumption towards regeneration and socially valuable activities. Through the development of new technology networks and the distribution of digital and real world assets, FreedomTrain’s Future of Work provides pathways away from scarcity-based livelihoods and unsustainable industry practices to modern futures that support community initiatives based in peace, love and purpose.
Overview
The FreedomTrain Community Empowerment Platforms uses a mix of advanced economic planning, democratically run technology networks and socially responsible policy to fund community led projects, provide income generation services and sustainable work opportunities that better fit the needs of our modern age.
FreedomTrain’s unique platform structure separates income generation from work and work from income on a global scale. This paves the way for the FreedomTrain to fund meaningful community initiatives and human-enhancing purposeful endeavors, without being bound by the necessity of monetary returns.
Empowerment based change
Impact: from scarcity to abundance
With FreedomTrain’s Future of Work project it is now possible to decouple societal progress from environmental breakdown and move from scarcity based labor dynamics to abundant community and self-led ones. When applied to our various Initiatives and projects, FreedomTrain’s Future of Work is able to provide a new standard of collective change.
Social Proof of Work is the FreedomTrain Future of Work method of validating that a task has been completed in a way that is satisfactory, with good intention, and aligned with Community expectations. During the Social Proof of Work validation process, community members will be paid for validating tasks as well as for helping with the completion of any unfinished task, bringing the task into alignment with community expectations.
FreedomTrain’s Social Proof of Work recognizes community interconnectedness and eliminates zero-sum frameworks that foster notions of incompleteness. It also allows FreedomTrain the dynamic efficiency to run various projects in real-time, evaluating community led project, FreedomTrain cooperatives, and professional services.

Community Interest Initiatives
FreedomTrain and Douglass develop independent revenue streams to fund community determined projects. Through FreedomTrain's innovative Future of Work model, these initiatives generate meaningful employment opportunities and provide comprehensive training services, all originating from the depth and diversity of our global network. This process allows for the community to separate profit generation from the work itself, opening projects up to what would be of benefit to the community rather than what can be commodified. It also bridges the artifical sociology-economic geographical divide by providing equal rates of income for a task regardless of where you are.
Global Green New Deal
The Freedomtrain Future of Work services plays an important role in FreedomTrain’s Global Green New Deal initiative. This initiative is a way of regenerating community principles over profits by self funding community approved eco friendly projects and using sunk cost tactics to buy out extractive industries— transforming them into cooperatively owned assets. This could mean extending Future of Work services to subsidize farmers in the Amazon Rainforest to end slash and burn methods, or buying out an extractive industry’s assets and using Future of Work services during the transformation process. In this way, we are able to use unconventional community led methods to create regenerative assets and work removed from commodification.
FreedomTrain’s, Universal Network Income, is the embodied development of a new standard of the social contract. Our concept of abundance means one's existence is never at stake in any of one’s relationships. This principle is mechanized by offering all members of the FreedomTrain community Universal Network Income. Our ultimate goal is to remove the cost of living from the productive system. This makes a no-growth sustainability standard possible as the drop in externalities related to wage-labor allow members to not need to participate in high extraction industries for survival. It also serves as a way to provide income for all the unpaid social work dominated by women that our global production systems and communities benefit from but seldom remunerate. By leveraging community owned digital and real world assets to decouple work from basic income, we open the door to scarcity free futures and abundance for all.
